Koena is a hawaiian word that means balance. The Koena gourd urn looks as natural as it does in nature.

Our biodegradable cast paper cremation urns are designed for water or land burial. Every urn is handmade with care for each customer. The urn is durable, and holds 250 cubic inches of ash. A biodegradable bag is included for the containment until placement can be done. They can be coated with a protective finish for a niche or permanent display. When used for scattering at sea, the urn begins to sink in ten to fifteen minutes, and the structural breakdown is approximately 1 to 2 days, depending on the type of body of water. For land burial, a complete structural breakdown of the material will occur within a year (depending on climate).
